COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Morehead State rifle shot at Ohio State Saturday in a tri-match with the Buckeyes and West Virginia. The Eagles finished at 4663.
OSU finished second at 4707, and WVU fired a 4756.
In Air Rifle, junior
Adrianna Beard led the way with a solid 594. Freshman
George Kuhne fashioned a 589, while junior
Hayden Bell and freshman
Chloe Shannon were at 585. Freshman
Trey Myers rounded out the lineup at 582.
Freshmen
Haven Eastman and
Victoria Koenig also had nice scores at 588 and 587 respectively.Â
On the Smallbore range, Shannon earned the top score for the Eagles with a 581. Beard, at 577, and Kuhne (576) and Myers (576) were next. Bell was right behind at 575. Eastman and sophomore
Maria Koenig were not in the lineup but each fired a 571.
The Ohio Valley Conference championships are next for MSU, next Saturday as the Eagles, Murray State and UT Martin line up at Murray State. It's a one-day event this season.
