MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Men's Basketball has a quick turnaround after its one-point win Tuesday night. The Eagles host the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET for the Blue Our sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings at Johnson Arena.
Morehead State has a commanding 95-69 lead in its all-time series history with Tennessee Tech, and the Eagles have owned the series in games on MSU's home floor. MSU has won 17 of the last 18 games versus Tech at Johnson Arena since 2007.
Tech handed MSU one of its two losses in league play on Jan. 4 at TTU, 74-55. The Golden Eagles have dropped foyur of their last five games after winning five straight but did win an 89-85 overtime contest at UT Martin last Saturday. Tech is just 3-8 on the road in 2024-25. Jaylon Johnson leads TTU with 12.9 points per game and is the only OVC player to hit a three-pointer in every game this season.

NOTABLE
• Since Jan. 14, 2023, Morehead State has won 27 of its last 28 home games, and the Eagles have won 11 straight games (including a perfect 9-0 this year). Only two teams, Houston and Iowa State, have a better home record in the their last 28 games on their home floors.
• MSU owns an OVC-best 67-18 league record in the last five seasons, good for 10th in the nation among all D1 teams in terms of conference winning percentage.
• Morehead State has a 108-48 overall record since 2020-21, or 69 percent success rate. No other OVC MBB programs (among the six others who were in the OVC since then) have a winning percentage of even at least .500.
• Morehead State's 11-game home winning streak ranks 8th among all Division I teams currently. In the past five seasons, Morehead State has won 91 percent of its home games (61-6).
• In the last four games, the Eagle defense has been remarkably consistent, allowing 65, 66, 65 and 65 points.
• Since falling to Tech on the road on Jan. 4 and surrendering 74 points, MSU is 6-1 and has turned up the defense immensely. Tyler Brelsford's scoring production has risen more than a point in the last four games, when he has reached double figures in all four. He is coming off a season-high 19 Tuesday versus USI. In the last four, Brelsford averaged 14.5 points.

George Marshall had his best two-game stretch as an Eagle at Eastern Illinois and SIUE. He scored a career-high 24 at EIU and cashed in 18 points at SIUE. Marshall was 10-of-10 at the free throw line this past week.
