Morehead, Ky.-- The Morehead State women's basketball team returns to FamilyLeisure.com court in Johnson Arena to host long-time OVC foe Tennessee Tech Thursday. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. ET.

MSU lost to Tennessee Tech in Cookeville on January 4 in their previous matchup this season. The Golden Eagles outscored MSU 26-16 in the third quarter to pull away, shooting 53% from the floor, including a sizzling 5-7 (71%) from three-point range.
Chrishawn Coleman led the Eagles with 18 points.
Kate Novik and
Alyssa Berry each added 11. Tennessee Tech placed five players in double figures, led by Peyton Carter with 16. Keeley Carter finished with 15. Chloe Larry and Reghan Grimes each added 11, and Amelia Pfeiffer chipped in 10. TTU dominated on the glass, outrebounding MSU 48-29.
The Eagles are coming off a 75-52 loss to Southern Indiana Tuesday in Johnson Arena. The Eagles trailed 35-34 at the half but USI limited the Eagles to just three for 12 shooting from the field in the third quarter. MSU was led in scoring by
Chrishawn Coleman with 11 points.
Katie Dike finished with 11 points and posted a career-high five blocked shots.
Aaliyah Holmes added eight points.
Tennessee Tech comes into Morehead riding a five-game winning streak after their 70-59 win at UT Martin Saturday. TTU got off to a slow start, trailing 13-8 after the first quarter. Tech rolled in the second quarter, outscoring UTM 21-5, and never looked back. Reghan Grimes led TTU with 18 points. Keeley Carter added 16.

• Morehead State posted six blocked shots in their game Tuesday against Southern Indiana, giving them 88 on the season, the most in the Ohio Valley Conference.
• In their last four games, MSU has averaged 21 turnovers per game.
• MSU is averaging 67% from the free throw line in conference play, which ranks 10th in the OVC. In their last two games, the Eagles have hit 14 of 18 for 77%.
• Morehead State has been ailing as of late,

Michelle Ugwah returned Tuesday against Southern Indiana after missing six straight with an ankle sprain.

Chrishawn Coleman leads Morehead State in scoring in conference play averaging 11.9 points per game which ranks 20th in the OVC. In conference play she has hit 45 of 60 from the free throw line for 75%, which ranks 15th in the conference. She has also racked up 20 steals in league play, ranking 12th in the OVC.
• Coleman's 56 free throw attempts in conference play are nearly a third (32%) of the total attempts for Morehead State. The next-highest total is 19 from
Maia Rosarion.

Maia Rosarion leads the Eagles and ranks fourth in the OVC in conference games averaging 7.6 rebounds per game. She also ranks third in league play with 13 blocked shots.

Katie Dike set a new career high with five blocked shots against Southern Illinois Tuesday, giving her 25 on the season which leads MSU. She ranks sixth in the OVC on the season. In conference play, she has 14 blocks, which ranks fourth, right behind Rosarion.
• Tennessee Tech ranks second in the OVC in conference play allowing just 62.8 points per game.
• The Golden Eagles are a strong rebounding team, leading the OVC with a +7.0 rebounding margin. They top the conference in both Defensive Rebound Percentage (73%) and Offensive Rebound Percentage (38%).
• Tech's Peyton Carter tops the OVC with 50 made three-point field goals on the season, and also leads the conference hitting the trey at a 39.4% clip.
