Dillon Schobourgh have earned weekly honors from the Pioneer Football League for their roles in the Eagles' 23-21 win over Marist Saturday.
Schwartz is the Special Teams Player of the Week, and Schobourgh is the Defensive Player of the Week.
Schwartz, from Treynor, Iowa, earned his second career PFL award, and its the 29th all-time Special Teams Player of the Week for the program. Schwartz nailed the game-winning 41-yard field goal with three seconds left as the Eagles thwarted the red Foxes' comeback bid. He also drilled a 40-yard boot through the uprights in the second quarter as MSU went on top 13-0. Schwartz added six kickoffs for a 63.8-yard average and three touchbacks.
Schobourgh, from Toronto, Ontario, disrupted Marist's offensive plans to the tune of three sacks (a team single-game high this year). He also totaled a team-best 11 tackles. He had a sack for minus-10 yards when Marist went for it on 4th and three. Schobourgh was the Eagles' leading returning tackler this season.
MSU travels to Valparaiso Saturday for a 1 p.m. ET game.
