MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Malik Gillespie, a 6-2 guard from Warner Robbins, Ga., has joined the men's basketball program at Morehead State. He will become an Eagle when the 2026-27 season begins.
"I am really excited about adding Malik to our program," said Head Coach
Jonathan Mattox. "He is an athletic guard capable of finishing above the rim. He is a really good shooter from mid range and three. Athleticism, and the way he can score the ball, will be a good fit in our offensive system."
Gillespie preps at Houston High School where he averaged 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a junior in 2024-25.
Gillespie is a two-time All-Middle Georgia Region Co-Player of the Year. He is also on the HypeSouth Media Preseason First-Team All-Middle Georgia team. He is also Preseason All-State for Class 5A.
