Feldhaus Era of Eagle Women's Hoops Begins Monday at Kentucky

Morehead, Ky. -- The Morehead State women's basketball team opens their 2025-26 campaign taking on the 20th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington Monday evening.

It is a nearly all-new team for Morehead State: only senior Kate Dike returns from last season's squad. The Eagles roster has an international flair with Estonia (Sepp), Sweden (Enander, Ekstrom, Ersdala), Italy (Toffali), Spain (Remolar, Pavesio), Montenegro (Marinkovic) and England (Pearson) all represented on the roster.

The game can be heard on the Eagle Sports Network (flagship WIVY, 96.3 FM) with Tom Lewis and Wes Holland on the call.  Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., ET. The pregame on the Eagle Sports Network will begin at 6:15 p.m.

  • Marie Sepp and Laura Toffali followed head coach Ashton Feldhaus to Morehead State from Missouri Western, where they posted a 20-10 record last season, earning a berth into the NCAA Division II tournament.
  • Sepp played at Albany for two seasons before matriculating to Missouri Western last season. She averaged 12 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last season.
  • Toffali spent two seasons at Kennesaw State prior to her season at Missouri Western. In the 2023-24 season, she appeared in 30 games, making two starts, averaging nearly 21 minutes per game. She scored a season-high nine points twice, the last on January 13, 2024, against Jacksonville.
  • This season's edition of the Morehead State women's team is nearly brand-new. Only two individuals return from last season: athletic trainer Broderick Moore and senior Kate Dike.
  • Dike appeared in 28 games last season making 23 starts. She averaged 4.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. She notched her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Tennessee Tech
  • Missouri native Violet McNece spent her freshman season (2023-24) at the U.S. Naval Academy. She appeared in 25 games, averaging 12.6 minutes per game. She hit all eight of her free throw attempts on the season. Set a career high 15 points vs. Lafayette on January 13, 2024.
  • Anja Ekstrom appeared in 15 games last season as a sophomore at North Florida, making one start. In limited action, she hit 8-18 from three-point range (45%). She set season highs with 20 points and eight assists in the season opener against Trinity Baptist (11/6/24). She averaged 10.5 points at Western Wyoming CC in her first collegiate season.
  • Spaniard Circe Rubio Remolar spent her first two seasons at Delaware State. She appeared in 28 games making 14 starts last season. She hit 47 of 96 field goal attempts (49%) last year. Set a career high with 13 points at Long Island on December 14, 2024. Pulled down a career high 17 rebounds at North Carolina Central January 13, 2025. Named MEAC All-Academic Team.
  • Josephine Enander spent her first year of college at Midland College (Tex.). She appeared in 30 games, making three starts, averaging 5.9 points and 2.1 assists per game. She shot 40% from the floor and went 18-22 (82%) from the free throw line. Enander posted a season-high 17 points against Western Texas College on January 27th.
  • Enander scored 13 points for Sweden in the FIBA U20 Eurobasket in their win August 2nd over Iceland, shooting 5-9 from the floor.
  • Junior Millie Pearson spent her first two collegiate years at Eastern Arizona JC. She appeared in 35 games last season, making 21 starts. She shot 46% from the floor averaging 4.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Set a career high 22 points on 10 of 13 shooting from the floor against Community Christian on December 10 last season.

Last season, after a season at OVC member Tennessee Tech, she reunited with her old Transy coach Juli Fulks at Marshall. She started all 35 games with the Thundering Herd. She averaged 8.5 points per game. She poured in a season-high 20 points at Florida on December 8 last year.
