MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Clay Noble, native of Lexington Ky, is set to join the Men's Golf program. He will become an Eagle when the 2026-27 season begins.
In his four years golfing for the Lafeyette Generals, he was named to the All-Region team three times as well as qualifying for the state tournament twice. He was the District Player of the Year three times.
"Clay will be a tremendous addition for our program," said Head Coach
Matthew Martin. "His competitiveness and background with High Performance Golf Academy in Lexington will greatly help the transition to golf in college. He is also an outstanding student. He has enjoyed success as a junior golfer, but his best golf is certainly ahead of him."
Noble lowered his scoring average by more than seven strokes throughout his time at Lafayette High School.
Noble has multiple golf tournament championships under his belt, including the Bethlem Invitational, Naples Junior Open, Somerset Invitational, and the Model Invitational. Noble has multiple top-3 finishes as well, including his runner-up performance at My Old Kentucky Home Invitational.
Noble will graduate in the spring of 2026.
