MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Running back
Isaac Stopke rushed for a 130 yards and a touchdown, but host Drake scored a pair of touchdowns in the final six minutes as the Morehead State football team ended 2025 with a 17-10 setback to the Bulldogs Saturday.
Despite the loss, MSU finished with a 6-6 record - the first back-to-back .50 or better campaigns since 2007 and 2008.
Stopke produced his fourth 100-yard game of the 2025 season and finished with 788 season rushing yards. He rushed 42 yards for a touchdown with 5:55 left in the first quarter as MSU jumped on top 7-0 and held that lead until 6:53 left in the game.
Trailing 7-3, Drake scored on an eight-yard Logan Inagawa run with 6:53 left to pull ahead 10-7. The hosts iced the game with 3:05 left when Nick Herman busted loose on a 77-yard scoring jaunt.
Thomas Schwartz V added a 20-yard field goal with 22 seconds left and tried the onside kick but it didn't go the Eagles' way.
Ryan Upp led MSU's receivers again with 90 yards on nine catches. The PFL's leading receiver finished with 2,524 career yards - third all-time in program history. His 1,107 season yards now ranks second in program history.
Drayson Crane and
Dylan Cook topped the defensive effort with eight tackles each. Crane also forced a fumble and had a pass break up.
Jordan Price kicked his only PAT attempt through the uprights and finished a perfect 30-of-30 on PATs in his first college season.
