MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State Women's Golf put the finishing touches on its first spring tournament by finishing eighth place among 18 teams this week at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate in Palm Beach, Fla.

The tournament was held at Hammock Creek Golf Club.

Tuva Marie Isebakke and Hanna Montgomery each scored top 20 scorecards. As a unit, the Eagles had a three-day total of 293-299-307--899. The Eagles had to count all four scores on the final two days as unfortunately MacKenzie Moore had to withdraw after the first round with recurring injuries.

Isebakke finished 16th in the 101-player field, carding 73-73-74. Montgomery was close behind in 18th, totaling 72-79-70--221.

Tavia Burgess finished in 37th, carding 71-75-79--225, while Amelia Rae Greenlee was the final Eagle among the counters at 77-72-84--233 and 61st.

Isabella Wiley played as an individual and finished 32nd at 70-78-76--224.

Virginia Tech won the tournament easily, firing a team total of -22. The Hokies' lineup boasted three of the top five individual scorers. Fellow OVC foe Little Rock climbed three spots on the last day to take second place at +14.

MSU is idle now for more than a month before heading to Arizona to play in the Red Rock Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona. That'll be March 13-14 in Sedona.
