MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Men's Basketball team is set to open its final road trip at Tennessee State Thursday night. Game time is 8:30 p.m. ET.
Morehead State owns a nine-game winning streak against Tennessee State, with the Tigers' last win in the series coming back on March 4, 2020 in an overtime win in the OVC Tournament. MSU has won all nine of the last meetings with the Tigers by 6+ points.
The Tennessee State Tigers sit at 14-15 also but are one game ahead of MSU at 10-8 in the league. Brandon Weston leads the Tigers with 16.8 points but has missed several games recently. Three others, Aaron Nkrumah, Carious Williams and Travis Harper III also score in double figures.

• Morehead State has qualified for the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament for the seventh straight season. According to the standings and games remaining, the Eagles could finish anywhere from the 4th through 8th seeds.
• Kenny White, Jr. reached the 1,000-point milestone in his college career at Western Illinois Feb. 15. White, Jr., who has played at Tennessee Tech, Murray State and UT Martin, now has 1,023 career collegiate points. He has scored 801 of those while playing in the OVC.
• Kenny White, Jr., has scored in double figures 20 times this season. In his college career, White, Jr., has scored 10 or more 56 times. Against TSU the first meeting this year, he had 25 points and a career-high 17 rebounds.
• Morehead State has a 108-55 overall record since 2020-21, or 65 percent success rate.
• Morehead State's seven-game losing streak is some unfamiliar territory as of late. The last time the Eagle program dropped seven consecutive games was 2017-18 (from Jan. 25-Feb. 17) when that squad lost eight straight.

Steven Clay has grabbed 15 rebounds in the last three games. He set his career best with six at Western Illinois Feb. 15, then topped that with eight boards versus Eastern Illinois Feb. 22.

Jerone Morton's 21 points last Thursday versus SIUE was a career-high, eclipsing his previous mark of 20. Morton has 13 double-figure scoring efforts this winter.
• This game features the OVC's top two teams in rebound margin. TSU leads the conference at +7.0, while MSU is a close second at +5.3.
• Despite not attempting a free throw in the last three contests,
George Marshall has still made 24 of his last 25 free throws. He made 22 consecutive free throws since the Dec. 31st game at Southern Indiana before missing his third attempt against SEMO Feb. 6.
• In the last nine games, Morehead State has been limited to just 60.8 points per game. During the Eagles' current seven-game slide, MSU has managed to shoot 37 percent and score 61.1 points per game.
