MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State's Beach Volleyball program is ready to make a run at an Ohio Valley Conference championship. The road will be tough but MSU has experience making deep runs in the league's signature event.

MSU is the No. 3 seed for the event being held in Chattanoogs, Tenn., having finished the regular season tied with UT Martin for second place at 7-3. The Eagles are 14-10 overall. MSU's opening round opponent is No. 6 Eastern Illinois at Noon ET Thursday. The winner will move on face UTM at 4 p.m. ET. The loser falls into the consolation side of the bracket at 10 a.m. Friday.

All tournament matches are being streamed live on ESPN+ with live results also available.

The Panthers enter the field at 0-10 overall. Morehead State defeated EIU twice this season, a 5-0 win on March 21 at weekend No. 1 and a 4-1 triumph last weekend at home.

UTM has won nine straight matches and is 22-8 overall. The Eagles split matches with UTM this season, with a win on the Skyhawks' home sand in March.

MSU had No. 1 pair Irene Wogenstahl and Bella Marita earn First-Team All-OVC. The duo fashioned a 7-3 record. The Eagles' victory leader is senior Peighton Isley, who has 14 victories, including 12 at No. 3 position. Right behind her is junior M.E. Hargan, who has split time at Nos. 2-3 and has 13 wins.
