Baseball Hits the Road to Face Eastern Kentucky Wednesday

Morehead, Ky.-- The Morehead State baseball gets back to action for a midweek affair against one of their oldest rivals, Eastern Kentucky, when the Eagles travel to Richmond Wednesday. First pitch at Turkey Hughes Field at Earle Combs Stadium is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on ESPN+.

  • Catcher Hunter Thomas leads the Ohio Valley Conference with 12 home runs and 35 runs batted in. He also tops the conference with 81 total bases and a .659 slugging percentage.
  • Thomas' 39 hits rank eighth in the OVC and his 28 runs tie him for fifth in the OVC along with teammate JJ Dutton.
  • JJ Dutton is riding an eight-game hit streak heading into Wednesday's game. He's hit safely in 14 of the last 15 games. In Ohio Valley Conference play, Dutton is hitting .273 (9-33).
  • Freshman Caden Sheridan is on a six-game hit streak and has hit safely in nine of the last 11 games. In conference play, he is hitting .294 (10-34) with two home runs, three doubles and five runs batted in.
