Morehead, Ky.-- The Morehead State volleyball team pulled a reverse sweep to defeat Eastern Kentucky in their lone preseason match Saturday in the Academic Athletic Center.
After dropping the first two sets 25-14, and 25-23, the Eagles scrapped back to win the final three sets 25-21, 25-22, 15-10.
Junior middle blocker
Amelia Nott led Morehead State with 13 kills and seven blocks.
Hollan Everett and
Sarah Heath finished with 12 and 10 kills respectively. Heath also turned back six blocks.
Heath said teamwork and effective communication were key for the Eagles.
Senior
M.E. Hargan slammed nine terminations and amassed 15 digs, tying for the match lead with Eagle libero
Courtney Fitzgerald. Hargan also slugged a match-high four service aces.

Kyrsten Becker-McBride said her team adjusted well to a fast start from Eastern Kentucky.
Morehead State tips off the regular season next weekend at the Cardinal Classic hosted by the preseason fourth-ranked Louisville Cardinals. They will take on St. John's at 3:00 p.m., at the L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.
