MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's indoor Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Rifle programs earned Team Academic Achievement Awards from the Ohio Valley Conference for 2024-25.
The OVC Team Academic Achievement Awards, which are presented annually in each Conference-sponsored sport to the member institution's team with the greatest percentage of its eligible student-athletes who achieved a 3.25 grade point average or higher, were awarded in 18 sports.
The Rifle program earned its ninth consecutive and 11th overall award since 2004-05. The nine straight awards is the most by any team in any sport in the award's history. Volleyball earned its second award in the last three seasons and 10th overall. Beach claimed its second-ever award, the second time in the last three seasons as well.
Rifle placed seven of its 10 student-athletes on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Volleyball nearly pulled a perfect score, having 15 of the 16 on the honor roll. Beach landed 19 of the 21 roster players on the lists.
