Morehead, Ky.-- The Morehead State volleyball team opens Ohio Valley Conference play when they host Southern Indiana this weekend in Johnson Arena Friday and Saturday.
Morehead State comes into the opening weekend of conference play with a 6-5 record after falling twice to Big East foe Xavier last week. Both matches went four sets. Southern Indiana is 4-8 after a pair of four-set wins over cross-town rival Evansville last week.
First serve Friday is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. ET. Saturday's start is slated for 2:05 p.m. ET. Both matches can be seen on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE SCREAMING EAGLES
USI comes into Johnson Arena at 4-8 and winners of their last two matches, a pair of wins over cross-town rival Evansville last Thursday and Saturday.
- The USI attack is led by junior Ashby Willis, who has slammed 164 kills this season. Her 3.81 kills per set rank third in the OVC. She set a career high with 24 kills last Thursday at Evansville, hitting .327 for the match.
- USI is solid up front, leading the OVC averaging 2.23 blocks per set. Spearheading the defense is junior McKenzie Murphy with 46 total blocks averaging 1.15 blocks per set, which is tops in the OVC. Senior Bianca Anderson has 40 total blocks heading into conference play. Her 0.93 blocks per set rate ranks fifth in the OVC.
