MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State Cheerleading continued to add to its long-lasting national championship tradition this weekend at the Universal Cheerleading Association College Nationals in Orlando as the Eagles won a pair of national titles.

Morehead State claimed the winning trophies for All-Girl Partner Stunt and Small Coed Gameday. The program now owns 56 national championships since first competing with head coach Myron Doan in 1988 - the most of any institution in the nation.

MSU's titles this year brought head coach Mark Coleman's total of titles coached at Morehead State to 21. Coleman has led the Eagle programs since 2014 and now stands as the winningest head cheer coach in program history. Since taking over, he has continued to build on the championship foundation established by Myron Doan, while further strengthening the program through consistent excellence, athlete development, and innovation on the national stage. Under Coleman's leadership, the Eagles have remained a premier program in collegiate cheerleading and a national standard year after year.

Doan, who started the program from scratch, led Morehead State to 20 titles beginning in 1988 and laid the groundwork for what has become the #DoanDynasty. Doan passed away in 2014, but his legacy and body of work continue to be one of the most respected in the cheerleading world.

MSU's All-Girl Partner Stunt team of Britton Carr, Kiara Garcia, Claire Ginter and Sophia Vormbrock won the program's fifth all-time All-Girl Partner Stunt championship.

The Small Coed Gameday group made history by capturing the program's first-ever national title in the Gameday division.

MSU has now won titles in all six fields it has competed in since 1988. Morehead State Cheerleading remains one of the premier programs in the nation and a cornerstone of Eagle Athletics, consistently representing Morehead State University with championship-level excellence, pride, and tradition on the biggest stage year after year.
