MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State Rifle, with an 11-athlete roster for the year, will line up for its first two competitions this weekend as the Eagles host Mount Aloysius (Pa.) Saturday and Sunday at Button Rifle Range.

Head coach Alan Joseph's squad will be shooting on brand new Megalink targets in the range this year, installed recently. Live targets are available on MSUEagles.com and on live.megalink.no.

This is the third consecutive season MSU has hosted the Divsion III Mounties for a pair of events at home, and the second straight season opening up against MAC. Mount Aloysius is headed by former Eagle shooter Siarra "CC" Crum.

Joseph's 2026-27 roster includes six returnees, four freshmen newcomers and one transfer. The returners include seniors Maria Koenig and Cooper Gray, juniors Chloe Shannon, Trey Myers and George Kuhne and sophomore Hannah Goin. The new Eagles are North Georgia transfer Corbin Jockers and freshmen Lucy Evans, Karis Junker, Ysabelle Martinez and James "J.T." Wright, III.

The counters (starting five) for Air Rifle are: Junker, Evans, Martinez, Shannon and Myers. Smallbore counters are: Myers, Kuhne, Shannon, Evans and Martinez.

Myers is the leading returning shooter in terms of average as he totaled 1169.5 for the year, including a team-best 580.6 in Smallbore. Myers is also the top returnee in Air Rifle, averaging 588.9 last winter. Kuhne (1162.5) and Shannon (1161.7) rank second and third among the returnees in aggregate average.

MAC opened its season on Sept. 26, shooting a school-record 4,587 at West Virginia.
