MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State's
Claudia Hofmeister has been chosen as the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week. She is the fourth different Eagle to earn an OVC weekly honor this season and the first in the spring campaign.
Hofmeister is a junior from Tampa, Fla., who transferred last spring from Delaware State. This is her first season competing as an Eagle.
Hofmeister helped MSU win a pair of matches over the weekend against Bellarmine. She dominated her two matches at Longleaf Golf and Family Club in North Carolina. She opened with a 5&4 result on Sunday, securing the win with three birdies. On Monday, she won 3&1 and had two more birdies. She ranked first in the field in par-4 scoring.
Morehead State returns to action March 1-3 at the More Than Golf Invitational in South Carolina.
