Morehead, Ky.-- The Morehead State women's basketball team hits the road for a weekend swing opening up Thursday at Southeast Missouri in the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. ET. The game can be heard on the Eagle Sports Network (flagship WIVY 96.3 FM) with Tom Lewis and Wes Holland on the call. It can also be seen on ESPN+.
Morehead State is riding a five-game winning streak and has won 10 of the last 11 contests. At 9-3 in conference play, the Eagles are tied for second place with Southern Indiana in the OVC standings, a game behind Western Illinois at 10-2. Lindenwood lurks a game behind MSU and USI at 8-4 in conference play.

Morehead State is coming off a 69-63 win over Lindenwood Saturday in Johnson Arena.
Laura Toffali led four Eagles in double figures with 16 points. Josephine Enander finished with 15, hitting five of six from three-point range.
Marie Sepp added 11 and

The Eagles hit 10 of 11 from the free throw line and committed a season-low six turnovers. MSU hit 45% from the floor and 41% from three-point range. Morehead State outscored the Lions 25-0 in points off the bench.

Southeast Missouri shot 59% from the floor and overwhelmed Eastern Illinois 71-56 Saturday in Charleston, Illinois. The Redhawks were led by Kearra Jones who posted a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Raissa Nsabua finished with 14 points, Lexi McCully added 12 points and Carmen Taylor dropped in 11.

SEMO outrebounded the Panthers 32-23 and dominated inside with a 46-22 advantage in points in the paint.

Kate Dike led the Eagles with 17 points, shooting seven of nine from the floor including two for two from three point range.
Landon Forbes added 15, hitting three of her five three-pointers. MSU shot 44% from the floor, but struggled from the free throw line, hitting just 11 of their 19 attempts.

Briley Palmer is in her second season as the head coach of Southeast Missouri. She has a record of 14-38 at SEMO. She is 0-3 against Morehead State. Before taking the helm at SEMO last season, she spent 12 years at Mineral Area Community College, the last four as the head coach. In those four seasons, she compiled a record of 77-40.
