MOREHEAD, Ky. --
The Morehead State Beach Volleyball got back into the win column on Friday as the Eagles defeated Salem (N.C.) 5-0 in the late afternoon, following a 5-0 setback to South Florida in the morning.

MSU is now 2-6 on the 2026 season.

M.E. Hargan and Shea Hefner got things rolling for the Eagles against Salem, with a 21-4, 21-9 victory at No. 2. On court four, it took three sets, but Landyn Snowden and Sydney Sennett prevailed 19-21, 21-17, 15-12.

At pair one, Bella Marita and Sarah Heath secured the team win as they cruised to a 21-8, 21-10 win.

Addie Freed and Riley McCloskey also saw their match go the full three, but they were able to edge their Salem Spirit opponents 21-17, 14-21, 15-13.

Amelia Nott and Haylee DePonte closed out the shut out with a 23-21, 21-15 triumph at No. 3. Tinsley Brown and Cady Hatch collected a win as well in the 6s, recording a 21-6, 21-12 decision.

Unfortunately the Eagles were overpowered by the 9-4 South Florida Bulls in the opener. All six matches were claimed by USF in straight sets.

MSU wraps up the Coastal Invitational on Saturday by facing the host team twice - at 1 and 5 p.m. ET.
