RESULTS (CCU 1 | CCU 2)
MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Beach Volleyball battled host Coastal Carolina in a pair of duals to close the CCU Invitational Saturday, but the host Chanticleers got the better of the Eagles in 4-1 and 5-0 decisions.
The Eagles fell to 2-8.
In the opening match, MSU picked up a win at No. 2 as
M.E. Hargan and
Shea Hefner each won their sixth matches of the season. The duo rallied from down 21-19 to win 21-14, 15-12.
On court one,
Bella Marita and
Sarah Heath fought until the final point but ended up dropping a three-setter, 17-21, 21-19, 9-15.
The second match featured all straight set wins for the hosts. Hargan and Hefner dropped their second set 22-20 as did
Amelia Nott and
Haylee DePonte at No. 3.
Morehead State remains on the road Monday for a pair of duals at College of Charleston at Noon and 2 p.m. ET.
