MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Kenyata Carbon, who scored more than 1,300 points in three seasons at Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), has inked to transfer to the Morehead State men's basketball program.

A native of Owensboro, Ky., Carbon is a 6-1, 185-pound guard who was the 2025-26 Mid-South Conference Player of the Year and was named NAIA Second-Team All-American.

"Kenyata is a great addition to our program. Anytime you can add a player that was both player of the year in his conference and an All-American, regardless of the level, means you are getting a high-quality player," said Head Coach Jonathan Mattox. "We love Kenyata's ability to break the defense down off the dribble and create shots for himself and others. We're very excited about what he will bring to Morehead State."

Carbon heads to the Eagles after racking up 1,380 points, nearly 400 rebounds, more than 300 assists and 150 steals in three years at Lindsey Wilson. He averaged 19.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 2025-26, leading LWC to 18 wins. In his three seasons, the Blue Raiders won 49 games and advanced to the NAIA national tournament this past season in 2025-26.

He scored in double figures in every game but two last winter and scored 30+ four times. He also handed out five-plus assists 12 times. In his LWC career, he made more than 50 percent from the field and hit 73 percent at the free throw line.

Carbon was a First-Team All-District and All-Region selection while at Owensboro High School. He scored more than 1,700 career points in high school.
