MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Morehead State Men's Golf Team wrapped up their season at the OVC Tournament on Apr. 26-28, finishing 6th out of 11 competing teams.

The tournament took place in West Lafayette, Ind., over the par-71, 6,900-yard Ackerman-Allen Course at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex (Purdue University). Little Rock took the victory in stroke play, finishing 45 strokes ahead of UT Martin (2nd place).

The Eagles finished with a score of 298-287-305--890 (+38). The second round was their best, shooting 3 over par with 14 bogies and 52 pars. The Eagles had the third best round two of the tournament, only a stroke behind Tennessee Tech. In round two, junior Remy Stalcup shot even, including three bogeys on the final four holes. Sophomore Gavin Augenstein also shot even with his bogey and eight pars on the back nine holes.

Stalcup led the Eagles, finishing tied for 13th and finishing with a score of 74-71-75--220. Senior Logan McCormick finished closely behind Stalcup, shooting 74-73-75--222 and finishing tied for 19th. Sophomore Seamus Bogan finished with a score of 74-72-78-224, tying for 27th. Augenstein (78-71-81-230) and senior Logan Liles (76-79-77-232) also competed for the Eagles.

"I am proud of the fight everyone showed until the end," said Head Coach Matthew Martin. "Five shots over three days to make the final four of match play is very easy to find.  It's disappointing to come up short, but we will work hard to put ourselves in a better position next year. The guys here at the championship and those at home are awesome to be around and represent Morehead State well."

Martin and the Eagles tallied two tournament victories and six top-5 finishes throughout the 2025-26 season.

"We will greatly miss Colten, Logan and Logan," he continued. "Their impact was meaningful, lasting and extends beyond the course.  I look forward to following their future success in everything coming for them."
