Morehead, Ky. -- The Morehead State Men's Golf Team will be heading to the opposite side of the state to compete in the Racer Intercollegiate, hosted by Murray State.

The 54-hole tournament will take place across Monday and Tuesday (Apr. 6-7) with 36-holes of play scheduled for the first day followed by a final round. The tournament will begin approximately at 10:30 a.m. EST.

The Eagles are coming off a first-place finish in The Keene Trace Collegiate, featuring four Eagles finishing within the top-10. Gavin Augenstein led the Eagles, tying for 5th and earning his first career top-5 finish. Logan Liles followed closely, tying for 7th and earning his first top-10 finish of the season and third of his career. Seamus Bogan and Logan McCormick both finished tied for 10th. McCormick earned his second top-10 finish of the season (4th of his career) and Bogan earned his fifth top-10 finish of the season (6th of his career).

"We are familiar with Paducah after playing in the Carpenter Chaney Classic", said Head Coach Matthew Martin. "It will be a little different going from match play to stroke play, but the course remains the same.  The greens pose the biggest challenge.  It's a great test of golf and will help in our preparation for the OVC Championship."
