Waugh Named OVC Pitcher of the Week

Morehead, Ky. -- Morehead State sophomore pitcher Landon Waugh has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance Saturday in the Eagles' 4-3 victory over Western Illinois at Allen Field at Prefontaine Park.
 
Waugh earned his second win of the season with a complete game against the Leathernecks. He allowed three runs on seven hits and walked two Western Illinois batters and posted a career-high nine strikeouts.
 
Morehead State will wrap up the season with a three-game series against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in Cookeville, Tenn. Game times are 7:00 p.m. ET, both Thursday and Friday. Saturday's season finale is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. ET start. All three games are scheduled to be aired on ESPN+
