Women's Golf Continues Fall Campaign in Indiana This Week

MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State Women's Golf continues the fall campaign on Monday and Tuesday as the Eagles face 14 other teams at the Brittany Kelly Classic, hosted by Ball State.

The Eagles will take to the course at the Players Club @ Woodland Trails in Yorktown, Ind, just outside Muncie. The two-day event, named in honor of former Ball State women's golf student-athlete Brittany Kelly (2007-11), will feature 54 holes of action on the 72-par, 6,262-yard course. MSU will go up against a few Ohio Valley Conference foes in Western Illinois, Lindenwood and Southern Indiana and also against Power 4 school Notre Dame.

MSU finished 14th in its first event of the season last week in Pawley's Island, S.C. Sophomore Morgan Kennedy led the way with a 19th place showing and earned OVC Golfer of the Week. 

The Eagles will see the same five in the lineup this week - Kennedy, Margaret Ulrich, Meri Illamola, Isabella Wiley and Kerri-Anne Cook. All seven MSU players on the roster will see action, however, as freshmen Tepan Ngamkerdsiri and Kenzie Federspiel will traverse the grounds as individuals.

According to records, this is the first time MSU has played in the Brittany Kelly Classic or in an event hosted by Ball State.
