Volleyball Facility

WETHERBY GYM

Wetherby Gym is the  home court of the perennial Ohio Valley Conference champion Morehead State volleyball program.

Over the last several years, Morehead State has overhauled the practice and game facilities for the volleyball team at Wetherby Gym.

The floor received a facelift recently with a new volleyball-only outline painted on the surface. New championship banners were added, displaying the success story that is Morehead State volleyball.

MSU has hosted the 2003, 2010, 2011 and 2012 OVC Tournaments in Wetherby Gym.

The building was originally completed in 1955 and was named for then-Governor Lawrence Wetherby. The 3,500-seat facility was the home of the MSU basketball programs from 1955-82, when the two teams moved into the Academic-Athletic Center.

The facility also features the volleyball team’s recently-renovated locker room and team lounge/video room, visiting team and officials' locker rooms, an equipment storage area, a laundry room, a concessions area and a satellite training room.

The volleyball coaching staff also has offices in Wetherby Gym, providing convenience and accessibility.
