Ty Crittenberger joined the Morehead State baseball staff in August 2025.
In the 2024 season, Crittenberger was a member of the Kentucky team that won the SEC Championship and made the first appearance in program history in the College World Series. Crittenberger appeared in 22 games making seven starts. He hit .240 with two home runs, a double and drove in three runs. He was seven for seven in stolen base attempts in the season. A personal highlight was a diving catch he made in Kentucky’s win over North Carolina State in Omaha that was spotlighted on Sports Center’s Top-10 plays of the day.
Prior to his season at Kentucky, he spent three seasons at Western Kentucky. He played in 143 games at WKU making 127 starts. He posted a career .289 batting average with nine home runs, 31 doubles, three triples and 64 RBI. He made just nine errors over three seasons with the Hilltoppers.
His senior season (2023) he hit .314 with four home runs, 16 doubles and two triples with 31 RBI. He ranked third in CUSA in stolen bases going 20-for-23.
Prior to Western Kentucky, Crittenberger spent one year at Polk State (Fla.), where he appeared in 17 games, producing a .297 average with two home runs and 14 RBI.
A Lighthouse Point, Fla., native, he lettered four years at Cardinal Gibbons HS. A two-time All-Broward First Team member, he hit .425 as a senior with five home runs and scored 34 runs. As a junior, he hit .500 while scoring 32 runs. He was a FACA All-State selection in 2018.
