Craig Mullins

Craig Mullins, who has 20 years of college football coaching experience, is in his second season as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Morehead State.

Mullins was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Georgetown College (Ky.) for 16 seasons, where he helped the Tigers to a 155-36 record (.812).

Georgetown won two NAIA national championships (2000, 2001) and was a four-time national finalist (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002) during his tenure.  Mullins also served as the program’s head strength coach and was a professor of kinesiology.

Mullins was named the 2011 American Football Coaches Association NAIA Assistant Coach of the Year and 1999 AFCA’s NAIA Coordinator of the Year.  He also coached the Mid-South Conference and NAIA Player of the Year from 1999-2001.

Prior to his arrival at Georgetown, Mullins served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at California University (Pa.) from 1993-96.  He also worked as an assistant coach at Ryle High School (Ky.) in 1992 and 1996.

In 2004, Mullins was inducted into the Northern Kentucky Athletic Directors Hall of Fame.

Mullins was a four-year letterwinner at Georgetown from 1987-90.  As a player, he was a three-time all-conference selection and two-time Academic All-American.

Mullins earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown in 1991, before going on to earn a master’s and certification in special education from California (Pa.).

A native of Ft. Thomas, Ky., he and his wife, Heidi, have two sons, Cade and Coy.
