Harris Bivin, originally from Owensboro, Ky., and an alum of Apollo High School, is in his third season on the staff at Morehead State.
Bivin helped lead the offensive line to rank first in the PFL in fewest sacks frequency in 2021. Opponents only sacked the Eagle QB once every 37 pass attempts, or just 2% rate for sacks/attempt. Morehead State also ranked among the nationaly leaders in passing and passing effciency.
He was an All-American and First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference center at Murray State from 2010-13. He was also a two-time team captain.
Prior to MSU, Bivin most recently served as offensive coordinator at Fort Scott (Kan.) Junior College. Prior to that, he was offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Dodge City (Kan.) Community College for the 2019 season. Prior to that, he was the tackles and tight ends coach and offensive analyst for the 2018 season at Samford. Bivin spent the 2017 season as an offensive line graduate assistant at Western Kentucky, following his time as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Murray State.
Bivin coached two all-conference offensive tackles as well as helping WKU to the Cure Bowl when he was on staff. He also coached a Remington Award Watch List finalist and Outland Award Watch list finalist. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in business administration from Murray State in 2014 and earned his Master's Degree in intercollegiate athletics administration from WKU.
