Patrick Hill is in his second season on the MSU coaching staff. He mentors the defensive line.
Hill came to MSU from Ferrum College in Virginia where he served as defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator. He mentored First-Team All-Conference pick Montel Lee in 2015.
Hill served as assistant defensive line coach at James Madison in the spring of 2015 following a one-year stint as an assistant coach at West Virginia State. He spent the 2013 season at Concordia-Ann Arbor (Mich.) and served the 2012 season as the defensive line coach at Adrian (Mich.).
He began his coaching career at his alma mater, Concordia-Chicago, from 2008-12. He has also served as assistant director and educational coach in the Detroit Lions Football Education Department.
He coached five first or second-team all-conference honorees at Concordia-Chicago and helped Adrian win the 2012 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title.
Hill received his bachelor's degree in sports management and sociology from Concordia-Chicago in 2010 and earned his master's degree in sports leadership from the same institution in 2011.
