Ryan Bennett

Former MSU standout Ryan Bennett is back at his alma mater and this time on the coaching staff. Bennett is in his second season. He led the tight ends in 2021 and has transitioned to coach running backs in 2022.

Bennett wrapped up his collegiate in 2016, ranking eighth all-time in total tackles with 296. As a senior he set the MSU single-game record with 20 tackles against Jacksonville.

Bennett was named First-Team All-Pioneer Football League in 2016 and to the second-team in 2015 when he racked up 96 tackles. Bennett posted 10 career games with double-digit stops.

Following his career, he served as a football intern for the Eagles during the 2017 spring and fall seasons and 2018 spring season, leading the scout team's preparations each week.

As a student, Bennett volunteered with Athletes in Action. After graduation, he spent two years overseas working with college students and coaching football in the Middle East.

Bennett earned his bachelor's degree in English literature from Morehead State in 2018.
