Tom Ross

After serving as a quality control assistant in 2019, Tom Ross is now in his third season on the full-time staff. He mentors the Eagle quarterbacks and serves as the program's video coordinator.

Ross helped guide Mark Pappas to new heights in 2021, finishing with more than 3,000 passing yards as well as the single-game school passing record. Under Ross' tutelage, MSU ranked sixth in the nation in the FCS in passing yards in the fall of 2021. Pappas ranked in the top two in every league passing category.

Ross, a native of Gilbert, Ariz, and originally from Omaha, Neb., served as a wide receivers assistant and offensive quality control coach for head coach Rob Tenyer in 2019. Ross' focus was on the slot receivers.

Ross was a four-year student-athlete and quarterback at Adams State in Alamosa, Colo. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing in 2015.

In high school, Ross led Williamsfield (Ariz.) High School to a 22-2 record as the starter and an appearance in the state title game as a senior in 2010.
