Dionte Ferguson

Dionte Ferguson returns to Morehead State and is in his second season now as a graduate assistant under head coach Preston Spradlin.

Ferguson, a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., played for the Eagles from 2010-2012, under Donnie Tyndall, where he was a part of the 2011 OVC Championship team and played alongside Kenneth Faried. In Ferguson’s two seasons with Eagles, he helped accumulate more than 40 wins, one OVC championship, and a berth in the NCAA Tournament that included a monumental upset win over fourth-seed Louisville in Denver to advance the Eagles to the round of 32.

Ferguson then transferred to South Alabama at the end the 2011-12 season. He spent three years with the Jaguars, playing for head coach Matthew Graves. He was named to the 2015 College Insider Third-Team All-Conference squad.

After his collegiate career, Ferguson spent more than two years playing overseas in Spain and The Philippines. While playing professionally, had an AAU team called Team Ferg based out of Prattville, Ala. where he graduated high school.
