Jaymie Bernbeck is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Morehead State Women's Basketball team.
Bernbeck, a native of Garden City, Kan., joins head coach Greg Tood's staff after playing three seasons at Nebraska-Kearney and earning a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in health science.
During her time at UNK, Bernbeck started in 26 games at the forward position and shot 50 percent from the field. She also performed well in the classroom where she was a three-time Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association Academic Honor Roll member.
Following her senior season at UNK, Bernbeck was awarded the first "Heart of a Loper" award which was created in her honor because of her relentless dedication to team values and willingness to put her team first.
During her time at Morehead State, Bernbeck will pursue her master's degree in wellness promotion.
