Biography
AS A FRESHMAN (SPRING 2023)
Ran at four events this season. Had a season best 1,500m time of 6:18.29 at the Jim Vargo Invitational. Ran a season best time of 12:56.25 in the 3,000m at the Marshall Classic.
PRIOR TO MSU
Skaggs graduated from Thomas Nelson High School in Bardstown, Ky. In her first track season as a distance runner, she placed 13th in the 3,200m at the 2A KHSAA outdoor state meet. She placed seventh in the 3,000m run at the state indoor meet. In 2021 in cross country, she placed 51st at the state championship and 10th at the regional championship. ... "I'm really excited to see what Casey can do in college running," Dixon said. "She showed lots of potential with just a year of distance running under her belt. I think she can have huge upside and develop into a solid distance runner in the OVC."
