Junior guard Angelo Warner of the men's basketball team has been named this week’s Male Pepsi Student-Athlete of the Week.

Warner averaged 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals in a pair of Las Vegas Invitational games.

The Orlando, Fla., native connected on 64 percent (18-of-28) from the field and 67 percent (6-of-9) from the free-throw line.  He registered 22 points in a win over Chattanooga on Thanksgiving Day and 22 more in an overtime setback to Gardner-Webb the following day.

Warner is second in the Ohio Valley Conference in steals (2.6) and fifth in scoring (17.3).  He owns 37 career efforts of 10+ points and six of 20+ points.  The Orlando native tied his career high of 25 points earlier this year at East Tennessee State and Northern Kentucky.

For his efforts, Warner is the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week.
