Freshman pitcher Megan Tymorek of the softball team has been named this week’s Female Pepsi Student-Athlete of the Week.

In her first Ohio Valley Conference game, Tymorek allowed just three hits, as the Eagles defeated Belmont 3-1. It was the fourth victory in the last six OVC openers for MSU.

It was the third complete game of the season for Tymorek.

This is the first honor of the season for Tymorek and the second for the softball team.
