Junior right side hitter Alex Fitzmorris has been this week’s Female Pepsi Student-Athlete of the Week.

It is the first honor of the season for Fitzmorris and the sixth for the volleyball team.

In the NCAA Tournament setback at Illinois, the Overland Park, Kan., native pounded 13 kills with only one error for a match-best .480 attack percentage.

Fitzmorris finished the season ranked third on the team with 317 kills.
