Freshman Luke Humphreys of the baseball team has been named this week’s Male Pepsi Student-Athlete of the Week.

Humphreys collected his first career collegiate victory by tossing 6.2 innings and striking out seven Belmont batters in the Eagles’ 12-2 win Friday. He only surrendered six hits and one earned run.

It is his first honor of the season.
