CINCINNATI, Ohio—The Morehead State men’s golf team is in 14th place after two rounds of Cincinnati's Bearcat Invitational. The Eagles shot a 614 (315-299) in the first 36 holes, which were played Monday at the par-72, 7,103-yard Traditions Golf Club.
Sophomore
Sam Zirnheld leads the Eagles with a 146 (75-71) to tie for fifth overall. Junior
Alex Misback and sophomore
Dean Schneider each tied for 48th with a 154. Misback was consistent, shooting a 77 in both rounds, while Schneider improved shooting a 80 and then a 74.
Sophomore
Daniel Iceman is tied for 74th with a 160 (83-77), placing him fourth for MSU. Sophomore
Crit Reddick shot a 164 (85-79) to tie for 83rd overall.
Ball State leads the 17-team field with a 589 (296-293). Eastern Kentucky (4th – 598) and Austin Peay (T6th- 601) are the other Ohio Valley Conference teams at the event.
The tournament will conclude Tuesday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start to a single, 18-hole round.
