MOREHEAD, Ky. - For the third time this season, Morehead State junior guard
Chynna Bozeman has been named the Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball Player of the Week.
Bozeman, the OVC Preseason Player of the Year, averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in MSU's action against Toledo and Austin Peay. She scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the 79-56 win over APSU and added a team high 19 in the Toledo loss.
Bozeman has led the team in scoring in 14 of the 15 games so far in 2009-10 and also tops all OVC players with a 19.3 scoring average. She also leads the entire country (NCAA Division I) with 52 three-pointers.
Bozeman and the rest of the Eagles (10-5/3-0 OVC) host Tennessee State (4-8/1-2 OVC) on Monday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:07 p.m., and the game will be shown live on the Wazoo Sports Network.
