LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Former Morehead State men’s golfer Josh Teater finished tied for 18th at the PGA Tour Event Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The four-round event, which concluded Sunday, was played at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
Teater carded a 269, shooting 68-69-67-65 in the round-by-round scores. He tied Charles Howell III, Graham DeLaet, and Martin Flores at 15 under par. He shot a six under 65 on Sunday, which was his best round of the tournament and took home $58,050.00 in earnings.
Teater’s first year on the PGA tour has been quite impressive, finishing in the top 25 eight times and finishing in the top 10 twice. Teater has earned $1,005,323 in just 30 events.
A native of Lexington, Ky., Teater helped the Eagles claim the 1999 OVC Men’s Golf Championship with an All-Tournament performance. Teater turned pro after finishing his MSU career in 2001.
