For the game, Bottoms allowed eight runs, all earned, in his 6.2 innings and struck out six to win his second straight start and move his record to 4-2 on the season.
MSU squashed any thought of a Colonel comeback plating four more runs in the seventh to make it 18-8. The inning was highlighted by Lee’s third homer of the game, a two-run shot well over the creek in right, tied him with former Eagle Kevin Matuszek for most RBIs in a career with 174.
