MOREHEAD, Ky. --
After a week off for semester finals, the Morehead State women’s basketball team gets back to action Sunday with a 12 p.m. tipoff against visiting Robert Morris.

The game can be heard live on the Eagle Sports Network (WIVY-FM 96.3) and on www.MSUEAGLES.com.

MSU enters the contest at 2-8 overall and coming off a loss last Sunday at Duquesne. Sophomore guard Tyler Ituen had a breakout game against the Dukes, scoring all of her career-high 11 points in the second half.

Overall, senior guard Linda Dixon continues to pace the scoring attack for the Eagles with 14.7 points per outing. Senior guard Courtney Lumpkin (10.8) and junior forward Ashar Harris (10.0) also net double figure averages.

Robert Morris, out of the Northeast Conference, is 7-2. The Colonials outscore their foes by nearly 10 points per game and boast a plus-5.7 rebounding margin. They force 22 turnovers per game but also make more than 20 mistakes themselves on average.

Artemis Spanou, a native of Greece and one of seven international student-athletes on the RMU roster, tops the offense and rebounding with 15.7 points and 10.0 boards per game. Three others, Mary Durojaye, Briannica Tye and April Williams, score double figures per contest. Sal Buscaglia, in his ninth year at RMU and 22nd as a Division I head coach, leads the Colonials.

The teams have met just once in their respective histories. MSU escaped with a 58-57 victory at RMU in 2009-10.

Following Sunday’s game, the Eagles have one more non-conference tilt as they’ll travel to East Tennessee on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. tipoff against the Lady Bucs.
