The game will be nationally-televised by ESPNU.  It will also be broadcast on the Eagle Sports Network, which includes four affiliates in Eastern Kentucky and MSUEagles.com.

Morehead State has posted wins over Asbury (Ky.), West Alabama, Princeton, Mid-Continent (Ky.), Binghamton and Ball State this season.  Austin Peay has registered victories over Arkansas State, Tennessee and Rochester.

MSU and APSU tied for second in the OVC a year ago with 13-5 league records.  The Eagles (25-10) and Governors (20-14) joined Murray State (23-9) and Tennessee Tech (20-13) as league programs to post 20 overall wins in 2010-11.

Morehead State is led by senior Terrance Hill (13.2 ppg), junior Milton Chavis (5.3 rpg) and senior Lamont Austin (2.7 apg).  Junior Kahlil Owens finished with team highs of nine points and five rebounds on Wednesday at Southeast Missouri.

Donnie Tyndall is in his sixth season as the head coach at Morehead State (102-78, .567) and his seventh year in charge of a college basketball program (132-83, .614).

Dave Loos is in his 22nd season as the head coach at Austin Peay (354-301, .540) and his 26th year in charge of a college basketball program (436-354, .552).  Loos, a five-time OVC Coach of the Year, also serves as the director of athletics at APSU.

Morehead State and Austin Peay have split 100 meetings in the all-time series.  The Eagles won two of three against the Governors a season ago, including a 68-49 victory in the semifinals of the 2011 OVC Tournament in Nashville.

Hill averaged 12.7 points against Austin Peay in three tilts last year.  Kenneth Faried, who was taken by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the NBA Draft, tallied 43 points (14.3 pg) and 55 rebounds (18.3 pg) vs. the Governors in the season series.
