MOREHEAD, Ky. - Among all the festivities surrounding this week's Morehead State basketball doubleheaders, the MSU soccer and volleyball teams will be a part of the exciting action as well.
Both teams will be presented with their championship rings Thursday night at halftime of the men's basketball game against Eastern Illinois. The game begins at 7:45 p.m. EST following the women's game against EIU.
MSU was among just seven NCAA Division I schools to win both their conference regular season titles for soccer and volleyball.
The MSU soccer team re-wrote the record books in winning the OVC regular season and tournament titles. They advanced to the NCAA tournament for the second time in three years, winning a school-record 13 matches.
The volleyball team finished 17-1 in OVC matches to win the league's regular season championship outright. It marked the Eagles' third title in the last four years.
