MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Morehead State senior Donte Sawyer has been tabbed as the Pioneer Football League’s Wide Receiver of the Week by College Football Performance Awards.
Sawyer pulled in a career-best 13 receptions for 152 yards on Saturday against PFL foe San Diego. In 10 games this season, he has 75 catches for 838 yards and five touchdowns.
With his most-recent performance, Sawyer has now tallied 193 receptions for 2,369 yards and 21 touchdowns in 42 games as an Eagle. All three marks are MSU career records.
Sawyer and his classmates will be honored on Saturday, prior to Morehead State’s season finale against Valparaiso. Senior Day at Jayne Stadium is slated to kick-off at 1 p.m. ET.
