MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Junior guard Terrice Robinson led the Morehead State women's basketball team with 18 points, while junior guard Allie Turner contributed a season-high 15 points and a career-high six assists in a 72-57 victory over nationally-ranked NAIA foe Bethel (Tenn.) Friday at Johnson Arena.

The Eagles won their third consecutive game, improving to 4-9. The visiting Wildcats entered the game ranked 12th in NAIA Division I but counted the game as an exhibition on their schedule.

Turner and Robinson combined for a 7-for-11 effort from three-point land as the Eagles drained 10 triples. Junior guard Tyler Ituen also chipped in with 10 points and a career-best eight rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench. Sophomore Almesha Jones handed out a career-high seven assists, and sophomore Casey Ryans registered seven points, eight boards and a career-best three blocked shots.

The Eagles connected on a season-best 51 percent (25-of-49) from the field and limited the visitors to just 35 percent (22-of-63). Bethel was just 4-of-18 from three-point range. Alisha Gentry and Perica Glenn, a transfer from UT Martin, led a balanced offensive effort for Bethel with 11 points apiece.

MSU tipped off the contest on an 8-2 run before the Wildcats stormed back to tie it at eight. The Eagles pushed their advantage to as much as eight three times in the opening half before settling for a 40-33 cushion at the break.

A pair of Robinson free throws at the 15:43 mark gave the Eagles a double-digit lead (47-37) it never relinquished. MSU's biggest lead was 67-46 with 7:23 remaining.

The Eagles swiped 10 steals, their 10th game with double digit takeaways.

Morehead State returns to action at Wright State on Sunday. Tipoff from the Nutter Center is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be caried live on WIVY-96.3 FM and twitter updates will be available @MSUAthletics.
