MOREHEAD, Ky. --
Morehead State baseball hosts Ohio Valley Conference opponent Jacksonville State this weekend at Allen Field. The three-game series begins Friday at 5 p.m. ET. Game two is set for Saturday at 2 p.m., and the finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

Right-handed freshman Aaron Goe (2-3, 5.45 ERA) will start Friday’s series opener versus the Gamecocks. Sophomore Noah Smallwood (1-0, 6.55 ERA) takes the mound in game two and freshman Blake Smith (2-0, 6.75 ERA) will pitch the Sunday finale.

Designated hitter Drew Williams recorded his first home run of the season to begin the Eagles' four-run seventh inning. Senior right-hander Matthew Robertson got the win, his first of the year.
-- Junior closer Matt Duncan earned his OVC-leading seventh save of the season Tuesday versus West Virginia. He was selected to the Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s Stopper of the Year Watch List during the preseason.
-- Senior third baseman Andrew Deeds began the week ranked second in the nation in hits. Deeds leads the OVC with 47 safeties and is batting .443 this year, with 16 RBI and seven doubles.

-- Morehead State has won three games in a row. The streak is the longest of the season for the Eagles. MSU did not win three consecutive games last season.
